Old Pokey's blog

What a difference a new set of tires makes.

Got rid of my bias smoothe tread tundra tires and bought a set of radial terras. The tundra tires are great flotation, but in no-till or minimum till with corn stalks, it is likely to shred a tundra really quick. I need the durability of the terra for the conservation planting systems I hope to be using in the future.

When it rains, it pours.

Wow. Starting Christmas 2009, the directly local (farm yard) neighborhood starting falling apart in a big way. I have basically 2 neighbors. Both are couples in the late 80s. Things were actually going fairly well for them untill Christmas 09'.

It's sunday morning......

...and there's too much to do. It's raining...again.

Ok, let's give this blog thing a try.

Allright, after reading a few other blog(s), I think I have an idea of what a blog is now. So,....I'm going to give it a go and state my mind as I see it and see what happens. Today's entry.

Busy week. Hauled a bunch of nursery shrubs out which a great thing. I thought we were going to have to destry many of the plants, but thankfully, somhow, the wholesalers have been able to make a few sales.

Between the plant hauling and getting the fertilizer equipment ready, I was able to get a few more swingarms tacked together for the copes tool.

Moving right along on my C.O.P.E.S. tool.

Perhaps in another week or so, I'll have a row unit together enough to run a test or two.

What's a blog anyway?

As soon as I figure out what a blog is and how to use it, I will be back.
